Traditional designs stand out. Here is a Dupatta which exactly does that. We have lines, end to end, simple but elegant design, which has traditional roots. Weavers were delighted to weave it, though it meant frequent thread change. The lines are distinct as they are handwoven. We want to associate the Zebra traits of individualism, free spirit, and distinctiveness with this Dupatta. As we are still debating on what to call this Dupatta design, we named it “Anamika”,  one which does not have a specific name. Feel free to ascribe meaning to this Dupatta design as you adore it!!   Story of Weaving: The handloom fabric is a type of fabric that is woven using hand operated looms. Two sets of interlacing yarns, the warp (length) and weft (width), are woven on a loom hand-operated by weavers. These looms do not use electricity. Human handling lends the fabrics a unique feel and renders the fabrics more value. The resultant fabric is softer, more durable and much more comfortable than machine-made fabrics. Handloom cotton is more breathable and thus feels lighter in summers and provides more insulation in winters. The dyeing process also becomes easier for handloom cotton as the colour penetration is substantially more. Hues are absorbed better thus look resplendent on handloom cotton. The art of hand weaving is labour intensive and takes a longer time. But, the beauty it adds to the fabric is priceless. Choosing handloom cotton supports the rich weaving heritage of India and lets the weavers carry on the precious art-form to the future generations as well.

Anjanam Vase

In Kerala, the colour black has been a part of any basic makeup material a lady applies to her face, especially to eye lids. As in the popular classic Malayalam song of Kerala (Anjana kannezhuthi...), the black colour adds a special attractive appeal. The beauty of the black colour is what we have applied into this vase. The shiny black piece can adorn your tables and tea tables with any contrasting colours inside and around.

Anupamam Vase

A lot of care has gone into creation of this vase. Since the neck is narrow, finishing of the inside had to be done step by step, as the the vase achieves height step by step. Someone asked Vijayakumari, our lead potter, to add a coat of glaze inside to reduce work and ensure a better finish. She refused to add any artificial materials to the crafts she make, and she prefers to finish the vase polishing by hand. The value and principles a true artisan attach to their craft is simply astounding. The vase may look simple. But, they are priceless and incomparable crafts! Anupamam!

Bhavam Terracotta Cook and Serve ware

The most healthy way to cook curry is in an earthen pot . We used to have earthen pots of various shapes and sizes to cook different types of food. Now we have adopted those cookware forms and added some finesse into it to present your dish on table in the same pot. Adorn your table with these rustic looking terracotta pot. Keep the lid on, to not lose the aroma of the food until you have it.

Bhoomika Saree

This saree with its earthy tones is 'bhoomika', which means earthy. Soft cotton texture gives a comfortable feeling when you wear it. Design of the saree has inspiration from a common bird around us, "chemboth" (Greater Coucal or Crow pheasant)
